Building Life Skills With My Mindful Class

Thriving Inside and Outside
the Classroom

My Mindful Class is built on five core skills that give students real tools they can use daily -

Mindset, Self-Understanding, Confidence, Learning from Mistakes, and Solution Thinking.

Each of these focus areas is woven into our monthly curriculum to help students build emotional awareness, stay focused, and develop practical skills they can carry into every part of their lives—inside and outside the classroom.

Every unit includes five engaging, age-appropriate activities that help students grow their self-belief, understand how they learn, and handle challenges with a clear, solution-first mindset.

This structured approach gives you meaningful, ready-to-use tools that support both learning and personal growth—without adding to your workload. It’s about creating classrooms where students aren’t just learning… they’re growing into who they’re meant to be.

Mindset Matters

Students learn that their thoughts shape how they feel, act, and respond to the world around them. This skill helps them shift from fixed thinking to possibility thinking, giving them tools to reframe challenges, build resilience, and stay open to growth.

Purple petal icon labeled 'Know Your Strengths' from My Mindful Class, highlighting the importance of helping students understand their personality, learning style, and natural abilities. A core skill in teaching self-awareness and student empowerment through mindfulness-based education.

Know Your Strengths

When students understand their own personality, strengths, processing style, and learning preferences, they become more confident and capable learners. This skill encourages self-awareness, metacognition, and helps students identify what supports their success.

Pink petal icon labeled 'Confidence is Key' from My Mindful Class, representing the importance of building student self-esteem, self-belief, and a positive mindset through mindfulness-based classroom lessons and activities.

Confidence is Key

Confidence comes from knowing your strengths, believing in your ability to improve, and taking healthy risks. This skill focuses on building self-esteem through effort, reflection, and celebrating progress—not just outcomes.

Green petal icon labeled 'Mistakes Make You Smarter' from My Mindful Class, highlighting the core skill of teaching students how to reflect, grow, and build resilience by learning from their mistakes in a supportive classroom environment.

Mistakes Make You Smarter

Mistakes are part of learning—not something to fear. This skill helps students respond to failure with curiosity instead of shame, giving them tools to reflect, adjust, and try again. It fosters a classroom culture of growth, safety, and honesty.

Purple petal icon labeled 'Solution Thinking' from My Mindful Class, representing the core student skill of approaching problems with a calm, solution-focused mindset. Supports classroom problem-solving, decision-making, and emotional resilience.

Solution Thinking

Life will always bring challenges. This skill teaches students to stay calm, think clearly, and look for solutions instead of getting stuck in the problem. It strengthens decision-making, flexible thinking, and a proactive mindset.
